During this weekend and until Tuesday, the snowstorm will affect regions of at least 10 states, including central and northern areas of New York and Northern New Jersey.
“Little or no snow accumulation is anticipated in New York City, but more than three inches of snow may fall not far north in the Hudson Valley” , says The Weather Channel .
Among the impacted entities are also Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Missouri.
“This storm will bring snow to communities in the Midwest that saw ice in the last days and will add to the snow cover in the northeast ”, indicates the forecast.
This Sunday several regions will face accumulation of snow, but in the metropolitan areas of New York and New Jersey only rain and low temperatures are expected.
“On Sunday, the snow should spread from southern Michigan and northern Ohio east to near Corridor I – 95, including the New York City area ”, the channel warns. “Scattered rains and some storms are possible in the coastal Carolinas to Maryland and New Jersey.”
He adds that the rain will also continue in Boston, where it might even some snow fall .
“On Sunday night, the snow will persist from the northern and central Appalachians to much of New England,” he said.
