A young woman was raped and squeezed by the neck when she opened the door to her Manhattan apartment, believing she was receiving a delivery, reported the NYPD.
The victim of 27 years old told the police that man knocked on his door in the building 230 East 30 th St, Midtown East, just before noon on Wednesday , and immediately began to suffocate her.
“He made it look like he was delivering a package,” said a NYPD spokeswoman. The woman later declared that the asphyxia made her lose consciousness and that when she came to, the man was raping her .
In addition, the attacker took his bank cards before fleeing. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, noted New York Post.
