A woman was found dead in the garbage chute of a Staten Island building.
The incident was reported on New Year’s Day shortly before 2: 30 pm at 937 of Victory Boulevard .

Neighbors told the Daily News that the woman was found by a resident of the property. The head and arms were coming out of the duct door .
Sources told the New York Post that the woman knocked on the doors of several apartments before the body was found.

The agents called paramedics to the scene. The woman was taken to Richmond University Medical Center but little could be done to save her.
