A man from 50 years with apparent mental problems he cut his penis and threw it into a toilet in his apartment in Staten Island (NYC), reported the New York police .
The unidentified man’s roommate called the police around 11: 45 am Wednesday to report that he had cut his right arm, at his apartment on Main Street, Tottenville.
Police arrived and found him with a self-inflicted wound. The victim then told EMTs that he had cut off his penis and flushed it down the toilet.
First responders confirmed that he had genital injuries and found a large amount of blood inside the bathroom .
The victim told police that he was bipolar and schizophrenic, and had been without medication for several months, sources told New York Post.
