“Lupine”, the series Netflix carried by Omar Sy
One of the most anticipated French series of 2021! In Lupine , a series freely adapted from the work of Maurice Leblanc, Omar Sy embodies Assane Diop, a burglar gentleman who sets out to avenge his father for an injustice inflicted twenty-five years ago. The actor will be surrounded by other big names in French cinema such as Nicole Garcia, Ludivine Sagnier and Hervé Pierre, member of the Comédie Française. Clotilde Hesme (who has already met the actor in Chocolat ), Shirine Boutella ( Papicha ) Soufiane Guerrab ( La Vie scolaire ) and Antoine Gouy ( Budapest ) complete the credits. Behind the camera, the first three episodes of this series will be signed by Louis Leterrier, the director of another Netflix series, Dark Crystal: Le temps de la renaissance .
“Doc”, the new medical fiction from TF1
After the Americans Grey’s Anatomy , Good Doctor and New Amsterdam , and the French Les Bracelets rouge , TF1 is betting on an Italian medical series. Inspired by the true story of Pierdante Piccioni, an emergency doctor who lost his memory after a car accident, Doc follows Andrea Fanti ( Luca Argentero), a brilliant doctor, who sees his life turned upside down after a patient’s father shoots him in the head. If he survives the shooting, Andrea Fanti wakes up having lost the memory of the last twelve years of his life. He will have to reclaim his life and accept the man he had become.
“The Good Lord Bird”, a miniseries produced by Ethan Hawke
The miniseries The Good Lord Bird , based on the novel by 2013 of the same name by James McBride, was created and produced by Mark Richard and Ethan Hawke. The latter plays the abolitionist and controversial soldier, John Brown, who took part in the Brown raid, which triggered the Civil War.

An X-Files in comedy mode in France by Valérie Giscard from Estaing ! “The Stand”, an adaptation of Stephen King
An apocalyptic vision signed Stephen King in 1978 and known in France under the title of Fléau . In The Stand , available January 3 2013 on Starzplay, a virus, released by mistake from an American laboratory, decimates the majority of the world population (its death rate is 99, 4%!). All the survivors are haunted by strange dreams: some by Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgård), the embodiment of evil in several Stephen King novels, others by Mother Abigaël (Whoopi Goldberg), a centenary who symbolizes good. The fight between good and evil can begin!
